Soon Forget: The undead future of S.L.U.G. Zombies

As mentioned in today's review of SLUG Zombies Series 4, Jakks had plans for at least two more series that never came to be. Here, take a look, and try not to have your heart broken:

The future series would have kept alive the trend of mixing pop-culture homages with original designs. For instance:

70: Popeye
71: Axl Rose/Steven Tyler
72: Dirty Harry
76: Shaun White
77: Ben Franklin
78: Happy Gilmore
83: "Nada"
86: Charles Bronson
89: Blaine
92: Ripley
96: Amelia Earhart
97: Harry Potter
99: Donald Trump
100: The Dude

Recognize any others?

The truly devastating thing? Series 5 and 6 were underway! Series 6 was still being sculpted, but Series 5 had been fully produced and packaged!

Those exist somewhere in the world, locked away in a warehouse like the Ark of the Covenant.

In case you're wondering, here's what Series 6 would have comprised (including two new Hunters not seen on the checklist poster):

And as an amazing final bonus, here are the plans for Series 7!

Napoleon, Einstein, Queen Elizabeth, plus a variant Amelia Scareheart? And Robocop as a Hunter?! Crikey, did we ever miss out on some fun stuff!

  1. Zedric says:

    69: TMNT's Casey Jones
84: might be Animal Mother from the movie Full Metal Jacket
87: might be female surfer Bethany Hamilton based on the shark bite on the surfboard (and if it is, wow, the response on the Internet would have been something, I bet)
91: looks like he's meant to be Akebono (the first American yokozuna), based on the name

  2. Wolf says:

Only ever saw a handful of these figures show up -- and it was at a local dollar store-type place if I remember correctly. Wish I'd bought some now!
Also, it's a terrible shame that GitD Cleopatra never got made 🙁

  3. Leandro Aude says:

096 is a parody of Amelia Earhart, the first female pilot in History.

  4. JackDavid says:

It appears Babydoll from Sucker Punch would have been a Hunter too.
