Rick and Morty Mystery Minis - Squanchy review

Series 1 of the Rick and Morty Mystery Minis may have featured normal little Squanchy, but Series 2 had something else.

In the Season 2 finale, "The Wedding Squanchers," Rick and his compatriots fall into a trap laid by the Galactic Federation. In order to save his friends, he reveals he has the ability to Hulk out, turning into a giant, monstrous version of himself. He switches from meth to PCP, basically.

Brute Squanchy is more than 3" tall, making him a giant by Mystery Mini standards. He keeps a lot of his existing features, like the raggedy fur on his forehead or the naked, rat-like tail, but he now gets thick fur on his shoulders, his little soul patch grows into a full goatee, and his feet are the same light color as his hands. The toy's fur is orange, rather than the tan it was when he was smaller, but that's not a mistake: the same thing happened in the cartoon, so if it's not meant to be that way, it's not Funko's fault.

All the figures in Rick and Morty Mystery Minis Series 2 were available in a 1:12 ratio, contrary to what the back of the boxes showed. Big Squanchy was super easy to find, being the biggest, heaviest figure in the entire assortment - even compared to the (also quite large) members of the Vindicators.
