Horror Classics Mystery Minis - Bride of Chucky reviews

Funko Friday

While Chucky and (his variant) were available in Horror Classics Mystery Minis Series 1 in 2014, it took until Series 3 for there to be a matching Tiffany - and even then, only as a Hot Topic exclusive. That doesn't seem fair, does it? On the plus side, all Hot Topic's exclusives in that series were in a 1:12 ratio; unfortunately, each store only got a single case, so you had exactly one chance to get them and then they were gone. Unless for some reason somebody got Tiffany and then returned her, but what are the odds of that happening?

The Bride of Chucky is looking just as good as the Husband of Tiffany did. The style had changed a little between Series 1 and Series 3, but not enough that the two of them don't look like they belong together. Tiffany is in her usual outfit, a doll's wedding dress worn beneath a black leather jacket. She's got her combat boots and fishnets, and gets black paint for her fingernails and lipstick. The hair is fully blonde, rather than having black roots, but they did do her scrawny eyebrows and the mole on her cheek, plus dark circles under her eyes. Even the bright red heart tattoo is present!

Surprisingly, the figure's legs are sculpted separately, rather than doing the dress solidly. She's stepping forward, with her right leg emerging from a slit in the dress, so that one had to be sculpted; but the left leg, completely hidden? That's unexpected. Her jacket has raised zippers, the bodice of her dress has a sculpted pattern, and her stocking may look more like a spiderweb than a fishnet, but she's gothy enough that that makes sense. They've even sculpted her necklace! It's a shame so much effort went into something so hard to get.
