Flippin' Through Previews - April '10

It's time once again to thumb through the toy section of this month's Previews, and see what goodies we can uncover. Scheduled to start shipping in June.

It's finally happened: Ame-Comi statues are finally getting repaints. Purple Catwoman and Artemis are on page 131.

Blackest Night Series 6 (page 135) features Blue Lantern Flash, Star Sapphire Wonder Woman, GL Hal Jordan, and Black Lantern Hawkgirl.

This barely counts as an action figure, but the Lich King is joining the WoW lineup.

Look at page 138, and see how bad DCD's God of War figures look compared to NECA's.

IDW is a Premier Partner now, which means their books are closer to the front. For instance, page 142-4 is all GI Joe, and 145-7 is all Transformers.

Speaking of Transformers, Exodus: the Official History of the War for Cybertron is a novel tie-in to the upcoming videogame. Page 341.

You know Marvel Select figures? DST is expanding that with Universal Monsters Select, starting with The Mummy. It may be worth it just for the sarcophagus alone. See it on page 368.

On page 369 there are Universal Monsters Minimaes, based on The Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Wolfman.

Also on 369, Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose Minimates will make Artemis happy in the pants.

Page 370 brings us Star Trek Series 5 and Marvel Select Magneto - who has an Xavier Institute rubble base with Colossus' arm.

Tony Stark and Natasha Romanov get an exclusive set of Minimates on page 371.

Lego fans with like page 380's Minifigures Series 1, featuring all sorts of new characters, such as a clown, robot or luchador!

Mezco has several new Mez-Itz on pages383/3, including Beetlejuice, Hellboy/Johann Krauss, and Rorschach/Dr. Manhattan.

There are several Toy Story 3 Lego sets that weren't shown off at Toy Fair, and depict things not seen in the trailers yet. Spoilers on page 387!
