The Muppets: Rizzo addendum

As mentioned in today's review, the accessories originally planned for Rizzo the Rat didn't pan out and had to be replaced with something else. So what were we meant to get, and why didn't we?

According to Ken Lilly, Rizzo was going to be packaged with the Dancing Cheeses from the first episode of Muppets Tonight.

This claim is backed up by the fact that in that scene, Rizzo wears the red jacket with yellow sleeves, as well as the headset this figure did end up coming with. (His hat was red, rather than yellow, which is what the variant Rizzo wears.)

Unfortunately, there wasn't good enough reference material for Palisades to work from, so the cheese were dropped and something else was put in its place. Which means that if the Jim Henson Company had kept better records of incidental prop characters, we may never have gotten that awesome pizza!
