OAFE Update for Thursday, May 19

We're too dumb to think up clever little segues from one review to the next this week, so we're doing it the lazy way. The important thing is, you still get all your links. And all of Shocka's love, though said love *is* illegal in 14 states and Puerto Rico.

"Armor is only part of the equation when you're named 'War Machine,' so this figure's brimming with weaponry. There are the palm-based repulsors, as always, and guns mounted on the forearms. A pivoting rocket launcher perches on his right shoulder, while a Gatling gun (with real rotating barrel) mounts on the left. A non-removable tube connects the gun to the figure's back, and there's a separate ammo belt that feed into the outside of the gun. There's even a little laser sight on the helmet..."

Yes, it's Iron Man spin-off War Machine, and it's pretty cool. What's your favorite non-Iron Man Marvel armor? http://www.oafe.net/yo/ml9_wm.php

"Jim Lee probably felt more at home drawing this outfit than Batman's regular duds: after all, this plays to his typical design sensibilities of lots of straps and pouches. Batman's wearing modified HALO gear, but the design of it still looks perfectly like one of his costumes..."

We alternated between DC and ToyBiz this week, as we have been for a while, so Monday's review was Stealth Jumper Batman. What's your favorite Batsuit? http://www.oafe.net/yo/dcdh3sjb.php

"Bullseye is 6 inches tall, and is as articulated as any Marvel Legend. In addition to the usual points, he's also got sliding shoulders and individual fingers. The sculpt is excellent, but then ToyBiz's always are. Bullseye really has one of the most graphically interesting costumes in comics, and it's recreated well..."

We saved the best Marvel Legend for last. Well, best character, anyway. He's been an assassin for years - what's Bullseye's best murder? http://www.oafe.net/yo/ml9_beye.php

While we may not be the chattiest bunch this week, the message board has been jumping, with on- and off-topic posts aplenty. Off-topic like this: http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=4;t=58 wow, it's almost like we're a real board.

And how about a Revenge of the Sith review? sure, everybody's got one, by now, but so what? One more fan's opinion can't hurt. Spoiler free, too: http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=4;t=59

And speaking of movies (that are sure to have toy tie-ins) have you heard the latest casting news for X3? What's blue, furry, and once worked for Krusty the Clown? http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=4;t=60

And now toys! A bit of research has revealed that as far as numbers go, GIJoe is about twice as expansive as their nearest competitors - what other massive lines can you think of? http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1097

Got an extra $3-900 lying around? Then you could be the most feared force in the galaxy! http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1096

What strange power does yo have over the folks at DC Direct? Does it really exist anywhere than in his own head? Only time will tell: http://www.oafe.net/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=2;t=1095

Have a good week, everybody. Go see a movie...
