This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our subject today is Playmates' Earthworm Jim Hamsternator.
Hamsternator was created for the cartoon, and never appeared in any of the games. On different days at Toy Fair 1996, he was shown with different pack-in figures: at one point, seemingly a repaint of Series 1's Bob the Evil Goldfish, and at another some angry furry monster. The product catalog suggests his fur was to be brown, not grey.
Hamsternator would have been part of Series 2, but slow sales meant the line never got that far.
