OAFEnet Update for Thursday, June 14

The OAFEnet Email Update taught grammar to the lolcats.

There's a surprise waiting at the end of this update. It's a goodun'. Sure to catch people off guard. We'd tell you to prepare yourselves, but you can't. That's how unexpected it is. But first, normal update!

  • Since last week we featured an installment of the long-absent feature, "DC Direct Schools Mattel," it was only fair that this week we return the universe to its rightful order. This figure is almost a year late at this point, and still firmly in the "not plentiful" camp. Unless you live in the future, which you might.
  • Rustin needs help! Well, okay, we all knew that. But this may be help you can provide!
  • Long before "Dog," there was another bounty hunter who everyone loved for no good reason. And this one wasn't even followed around by a pair of boobs. Or any assistants, either. If you like your good guys to wear white and your bad guys to wear black, this isn't the figure you're looking for.
  • In case you haven't noticed the link on the top of every freaking page around, we're looking for your reviews of online stores. We already have 10 sites listed, just waiting for you to share your experiences. Get all the info and start posting.
  • This week's Transformers Tuesday is not as hot-off-the-truck as last week's; after all, we can only get the scoop so many times. It is, instead, and old favorite. Shame about the color scheme, though.
  • And if you do want a movie character, check out this custom.
  • Just so Mattel doesn't get a swelled head after our first link at the top up there, Wednesday's review took the time to remind us all that things have not always been so golden. We're not going to start categories for every company that's shown up some other company, but if we were, this would be the start of it.
  • We've all dealt with them: scalpers. The jerks who buy the toys we want just so they can resell them. Have any horror stories to share?
  • Last week's sneak preview was a figure that may be overpriced, but is certainly trying its hardest to be worth the money. Asimov can take his three laws and he can go to hell for all that this guy cares.

So, that unbelievable surprise we promised you? It's the Email Update Exclusive, which means you won't find it here. It's only available to the people who have signed up for our mailing list. Ain't we evil? Why not subscribe to our RSS feed, so you're the first to know when the secret link is revealed to everyone?
