It's time once again to thumb through the toy section of this month's Previews, and see what goodies we can uncover. Scheduled to start shipping in April.
DC Direct has a surprise for us on page 129: Resistance 2 video game toys! Probably ridiculously under-articulated, but if you like the game, you can get a Chimera Advanced Hybrid, Ravager, Steelhead or Nathan Hale with a Swarmer.
There are two listings for Blackest Night toys on page 130, and they both contain spoilers. Thanks for nothing, Previews.
Batman fans will want to check out the Arkham Asylum box set on page 137. It's a chance to get Bats with new versions of Joker, Penguin and Killer Croc.
Marvel Minimates Series 25 and 26 are listed first on page 182. That's Iron Man/AIM soldier, Captain America/Red Skull, and Red Hulk/Skaar, and Wolverine/Blob, Wolverine/Deadpool, and Wolverine/Sabretooth. Uh, movie versions, on that second series.
On page 368, Futurama Series 6 offers Amy Wong and Clobberella, with pieces of the Robot Santa BAF.
On the same page, there's a new GI Joe Greatest Battles dvd set, with Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow.
Over on page 370, you can pay 50% too much to get DCU Series 8, with the Giganta BAF. The listing is for "DC Heroes" - has Mattel changed the stupid name? Let's hope.
The new Bionicle figures are listed on page 373, right beneath the Indiana Jones set.
Here's an oddity on page 376: a Marvel Transformers set that included new versions of both Iron Man and Spider-Man, and they apparently plug together.
There's a BSG Starbuck & Leoben two-pack on the same page, as well.
If you're looking forward to the new Friday the 13th movie, then check out the Previews Exclusive Jason figure on page 377 - he has a sack on his head!
Lots of Terminator toys on page 383: Minimates, 3 3/4", 6" and 10".
Similarly, there are 3 3/4" and 6" Star Trek figures on page 386. Another "meh." There are 3 3/4"-scale bridge and transporter playsets, as well, on page 387.
Star Wars battle packs are listed on page 391: the Yavin Hangar, a squad of Clones to climb the cliffs alongside the AT-TE, and a new Jabba the Hutt.
Some cool Transformers Animated stuff on page 392: a golden Grimlock and some sort of undersea Bumblebee.
