Soon Forget: the Tomb Raider/TMNT connection

This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figures today are Playmates' Casey Jones and Raphael.

These figures, shown off at SDCC 2003, would have been paired together in a deluxe set:

That diorama should look familiar: it's the London Motorbike set we reviewed today!

There would have been thematic graffiti on the wall, and Raphael would have had "battle damage" paint apps, but the rest is recognizably the same. Unfortunately, this clever re-use never materialized.
