It's time for the penultimate Vitruvian HACKS accessory set review. This week: Fire Red (Transparent)!
The contents are shown on the back of the box, and inside, they're split among several zipper-seal bags:
- Spartan armor
- Spartan greaves
- Corinthian helmet
- scabbard
- shield
- breastplate
- snake skull helmet
- figure stand
- snake skirt
- bracers
- shin guards
- wavy knife
- long skull dagger
- short skull dagger
- short sword
- medium sword
- long sword
- Gorgon shield
Yes, the spear is all by itself, because it wouldn't fit in either of the other bags.
Like the Ghosts of the Battlefield two-pack, this armor set is cast from translucent plastic (so at least this time we don't have to worry about losing sculpt crispness to too-thick paint. The color itself is pleasantly vibrant, looking for all the world like the coating on a candy apple, but what really makes the set is the way the clear plastic interacts with the shade of whatever figure you put it on. On Grayson, it becomes a flat, dark red; on June, a deep-yet-shiny maroon; and on Ossy, it looks even brighter than normal.
