   The "Golden Girls" curse strikes again! It's weird that one show would have so many members of the main cast die off. "THEY" just don't want you to think about it!

     Was it Conan O'Brian I think who did that joke about the movie Cocoon and all its "suspicious" deaths only 20 years later? I miss that show. I will miss Betty too. RIP

   Betty White dying on New Year's eve mere weeks before her hundredth birth was a terrible yet cynically fitting closeout to 2021. Now she'll never find out if LEGO bricks disintegrate when touched by a centenarian.

     Part of me feels like I ought to be at least annoyed at a joke made shortly after her passing... but then I was reminded she had quite a sense of humor.

     I want to imagine that if she actually made it to 100, she would've made a similar joke anyway. Heh.

       Someone pointed out that being a celebrity so beloved that as your 100th birthday approached, People magazine printed an issue with you on the cover, then dying before it hit the shelves? PERFECT comedic timing. Take a bow, Betty!
