This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figures today are Funko's Mad Max: Fury Road.
Remember a few years ago, when Funko was doing a bunch of lines inspired by the original 1980s Masters of the Universe toys? You know: Thundercats, DC Comics, horror movie slashers, all that. No one knew at the time they were also working on adding Mad Max to the Savage World line-up:
According to designer Reis O'Brien, he was asked to do the characters "on-model" instead of wildly exaggerating them into barbarians, though whether that was at the request of WB or Funko is unknown. Either way, the line never moved forward.
