Watch the unreleased Micronauts cartoon

Back in 2019, Boulder Media Limited (a subsidiary of Hasbro Studios) created a full two-season Micronauts show meant to bring the property to modern audiences. For whatever reason, Hasbro has just sat on it since then, despite all 52 episodes being fully completed.

Well, the other day, someone leaked the entire series to the Internet Archive. It's since been copyright claimed by Hasbro, but smart fans already downloaded the whole thing, so you should definitely be able to find it if you're looking. Here, for instance, is the first episode:

Also, it's very interesting to see that many of the designs appear to be based on those in the 2017 SDCC box set, which shows the amount of work Hasbro put into rebooting the brand... only to cancel it for no reason.

Head writer Eric Rogers does not seem upset by the leak, even if he can't legally be seen to be in favor of it. But he has said that by the end of Season 2, the writers were steering very hard in Transformers' direction, opening the door for a crossover if Hasbro wanted.

Huh. I thought "Phenolo-Phi" was pronounced like "FeNOlo-Fi," but the cartoon says it more like 'Penelope." Wonder if that was always the case?
