Lego Batman Minifigures: Officer Barbara Gordon review

Cognitive dissonance is when "ACAB" meets "I love a woman in uniform".

Mini-Figure Mini-Reviews

Growing up as the daughter of Gotham City's top cop has given Barbara Gordon a strong background in law and order. But as much as she respects her father's experience and wisdom, she believes that the city would be better served by a more modern style of policing. Now that Jim Gordon is retiring, it's time for a new kind of Commissioner Gordon to clean up the streets and she wants to work together with Batman to achieve this! Bat-Fact: Wore her SWAT gear to prom.

So apparently Lego Batman's version of Babs will not be an independent contractor, but a full-fledged member of the police force. She's wearing her dark blue GCPD uniform, with gold pins on the lapels and badges on the upper arms. Things are made a bit more formal with the inclusion of white gloves and a red sash. Her hair and hat are a single new piece, though I wouldn't be surprised to see it show up in some future Lego City sets. Babs comes with a pair of handcuffs (not nearly as kinky as one would hope; or is that just me?), plus a Bat-button: something to turn on the Bat Signal? It's a flat yellow stud on a 1x1 black tile, and has the Bat symbol printed on it. She's intersting, but not nearly as much as Pink Power Batgirl.
