The brain geniuses at Culper Precision were selling a covering for handguns that made them look like toys.
You know, because kids playing with guns and accidentally shooting someone isn't already a huge enough problem in America or anything. Unintentional shootings rising 30% in the past year wasn't enough for Culper, who demanded more more MORE preventable gun deaths go unprevented.
A (now-removed) listing on their site said "Guns are fun. Shooting is fun. 30 rounds full auto is fun." In 2021, there have already been 183 unintentional shootings by children, leading to 73 deaths. In an Instagram advert for the cover, Culper said "here's one of those childhood dreams come to life."
When an advocacy group contacted Lego about the idiot product, a cease-and-desist letter was soon on its way to Culper Precision, and a product that never should have existed in the first place was no longer for sale.
