TF-Direct: evil or stupid?

The other day, a store called "TF Direct" posted an image that got them a lot of attention. But probably not the kind they were hoping for:

Optimus Prime posed like a swastika.

(It was taken off Facebook, but they forgot about their Bluesky page.)

There are only two options here: first, that it's an innocent mistake, that someone really was posing Optimus Prime in a silly manner, and failed to notice that it looked like a swastika before they shared it. In which case, they're merely stupid.

Alternately, they knew exactly what it looked like and posted it regardless, whether to be "edgy" or to go full mask-off and signal their allegiances to right-wing politics. In which case, screw 'em, never give them a goddamn dime.

This isn't even a case of getting outed accidentally like the bigots of Kapow Toys, this is something they actively chose to show everyone. They looked at that photo and either 1) saw nothing wrong with it, or 2) saw something right with it, and neither choice is great.

If you go to their site, the first thing you're met with is an A.i.-generated banner, the surest sign of being pathetic losers. So even if they weren't sharing stuff like this, they wouldn't be worth your money. There are plenty of Transformers sellers out there who aren't utter embarrassments.

Don't give them the benefit of the doubt. They knew what they were doing. The "Spin Spin" capitalization cannot be a coincidence.

Evil / stupid. One and the same in most cases these days. Especially when it involves displaying it on a public platform for anyone who sees it to keep their own record of.
