This is the latest in a series (of indefinite length and regularity) of blog posts memorializing cancelled toys. Our figure today is Playmates' Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Muta-Party Wagon.
Party Wallop was not the first attempt at turning the Turtle Van into a robot. The 1993 product catalog tried to sell retailers on the idea of a fully in-scale Party Wagon that would "mutate" into a 19" tall bot. And unlike some crossovers we could name, this one was smart enough to know that it should look like Metalhead without needing to buy a third-party upgrade kit.
The interest just wasn't there, however, so until now fans simply had to content themselves with a Party Wagon that somehow transformed into Splinter.
