Spider-Man '77 addendum

2014's "Spider-Verse" crossover had one simple intention: involve every Spider-Man ever. And not just the Spider-Men, but the Spider-Women and the Spider-children, too! Which sounds like an achievable goal, but rights issues meant some Spider-Men weren't allowed. Yamashiro Takuya, for instance, still belonged to Toei, who were less than thrilled when he and Leopardon became a major part of the battle against Morlun (at least until the Japanese fandom exploded with delight at seeing the duo finally acknowledged, so Toei struck a deal to give Marvel permission).

However, not every Spider could get a prominent place in the plot. Some couldn't even be shown, only talked about. The story "It's the Little Things" in Spider-Verse #2 saw a pair of random Spideys talking during a lull in the fighting, discussing the weird Spider-Men they'd seen. Like the one who sang show tunes, or the one who talked like he was trying to teach basic reading skills. They also saw "the guy from Seabiscuit" and "the guy from The Social Network."

The art in the story was full of cameos as well, from any number of What Ifs and alternate realities. Especially the big final panel, where we saw the 1977 Spider-Man, clear as day!

What, you don't see him? He's right there.

No, there.

Computer, enhance!

Yep, that's his big in-continuity appearance, a glimpse of bracelet 90% off the page. But no one else has ever worn anything like it, and it's put so prominently in the front of the image that we're clearly meant to notice/recognize it.
