I've wanted the Creature from the Black Lagoon from the Toy Island line of Marvel Legends-style Universal Monsters ever since reading a (bad) review. But since my only options for getting one seemed to be paying $100 for a full set from Amoktime.com or paying $50 just for the Creature on eBay, I'd more or less given up on it. Until, on a random visit to TRU today (in Framingham, Mass.), I came across the entire line.
They were $13 a pop, at which price I could only justify getting the Creature, though Frankie was tempting. Still, this was one of those cases where I was almost a bit dazed for a moment. This was almost like a holy grail for me - definitely not something I thought I'd ever see in a store.
